North China Energy Regulator Promotes Government-Enterprise Collaboration to Strengthen Tianjin Charging Facility Power Service

The North China Energy Regulatory Bureau has focused on the power service needs of charging facilities in Tianjin, adopting government-enterprise coordination to resolve bottlenecks in power supply for new-energy heavy-duty truck charging facilities, promoting the coordinated development of charging infrastructure and the clean energy industry, and accelerating the construction of new-energy heavy-duty truck charging facilities in Tianjin.

Facing the situation where the Beigang Road new-energy heavy-duty truck battery-swapping and charging station and the Donghai Road charging station in Binhai New Area of Tianjin could not be developed and constructed due to grid power supply capacity constraints at the site, the North China Energy Regulatory Bureau explored approaches and defined measures, leveraging government-enterprise coordination. It organized local power management departments, grid companies, and incremental distribution network enterprises to study the resolution of power supply bottlenecks for charging facilities through special sessions. Guided by the principle of “applicable policies, compliant measures, and practical feasibility,” it supervised grid companies to improve the quality and efficiency of “access to electricity” services, opened “green channels,” and resolved the power supply needs of new-energy heavy-duty truck charging facilities through prioritized cross-regional power supply and other means, empowering the green transformation of economic and social development.

Going forward, the North China Energy Regulatory Bureau will, together with local power management departments, continue to monitor the construction, operation, and power services of charging facilities, strengthen the deep integration of the charging network with the power grid, the vehicle-to-grid network, and the energy network, and contribute regulatory strength to the comprehensive creation of a modernized electricity business environment.
